Our Mission

The mission of the Richmond Concert Band is:

  • Provide high quality musical entertainment at concerts and events throughout the metropolitan area

  • Provide a meaningful musical outlet for adult instrumentalists

  • Challenge adult instrumentalists to grow musically

  • Be a welcoming and inclusive social and musical activity for adult instrumental musicians

Members of the Richmond Concert Band are amateur and semi-professional musicians who enjoy making music as part of a concert band. We have members from all walks of life and wide variety of backgrounds. The Richmond Concert Band is committed to creating a diverse environment and welcome all ages 16 and older without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Membership is open to anyone who plays a band instrument and wants to be a part of an adult concert band. Auditions are not required.
